Choir

The 2009/2010 Choirs are offered 4th and 6th periods.  Many performances are planned throughout the year. 

4th period Acapella Choir is Bay’s top performing choir.  They hosted the Fall Concert at VSAA featuring choirs from Battle Ground and Fort Vancouver high schools.
 
During the holidays they will be performing at the Vancouver Christmas Tree lighting in Easter Short Park, the Grotto, Mountain View Ice Skating, the downtown Nativity Scene, various nursing homes in Vancouver as well as the Bay Holiday Choral Concert at Fort Vancouver’s auditorium at 7pm on December 15th.

Again we will be hosting a Hudson’s Bay talent show in the Spring.

Students who are in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade can audition to be a part of this group.  We take new students 2nd semester.

We have started a new advanced group for top singers in Acapella Choir.  It is the Women’s Ensemble.  These students will be performing at holiday parties and Beaches during December.

Our training choir, named Concert Choir, meets 6th period and is for all 9th graders and any 10-12 students who would like to improve their vocal skills. They perform at all Bay concerts, and will be singing out in the community during December. In March, they will attend a choir festival at a neighboring school. Students from this group may audition for Acapella Choir in March for the next year’s group.
