Good Morning Hudson’s Bay!

Today is Thursday, May 1, 2008

 

 

Attention all Mr. Hudson's Bay participants. Coordinators and M.C.s: On Friday there is an important meeting with Mrs. Shults in the Aerobics room right after the assembly (start of Period 3). Be there!

 

Attention all Talent Show audition participants:

You will be performing TONIGHT in the Commons beginning at 7pm.  Please meet at 6pm in the music room to go over the order of the program and any last minute instructions. Non-performers will not be allowed into the building until 6:30pm when tickets will go on sale at the front of the school.

 

♦ All students:  Come to the Talent Show TONIGHT at 7pm in the Commons. It's $2.00 for students with ASB and children under 12, $3.00 for adults and student without an ASB.  We will begin selling tickets at 6:30pm.

 

♦ Buy your Prom tickets by Friday - $15.00 and sign up for early bird pictures - they are going fast. Tickets will be sold at the door.

 

Summer School applications are available. See your counselor ASAP. Remember Applications and fee reductions will be given on a first come--first served basis. Don't put it off.....

 

 

 

 

2008 SENIORS!

You have an opportunity to be part of the Baccalaureate Ceremony that will take place on Sunday, June 15th! You should have received a form in your CWP class. Running Start Seniors, a form will be in your folder in the counselor’s office. All seniors please turn your Baccalaureate form into the MAIN OFFICE by TOMORROW.

 

Seniors! Remember to purchase your Senior Class Party Ticket by May 15th!  All tickets will go up from $60 to $100 on May 15th!!!  

 

SPORTS:

 

♦ Attention all Track athletes. Please remember to turn in your uniform to one of the coaches upon completion of your season to avoid having it placed on your fine card. Thank you.

 

♦ The Boys Varsity Soccer team beat Union in a nail biter 2-1 with goals by Caleb Escobedo, assisted by Steven Hughes and the game winning penalty kick by Matthew Dally was scored in the dying minutes to send Bay to Districts. Bay will face River at Districts Tuesday, May 6, winner goes to state.

 

The JV team tied Union 3-3, 2 goals scored by Cameron Foster and the tying goal went to Billy Nguyen. Congratulations JV on a season well done!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

NHS Members!

There will be an Ice Cream Social for ALL NHS members on Thursday, May 8 in the upper 300 co-op to bid farewell to our seniors. Please RSVP on the sign-up sheet in room 103 by May 6th so that we will have enough ice cream! This will be the last meeting for the seniors. The rest of the members will stay after the ice cream social to discuss elections of next year's officers and begin planning for next year. We will also discuss some fun opportunities to earn some more community service hours this year.

 

Current officers will meet this TODAY in Room 103 immediately after school. It is mandatory that you attend.

 

CAREER CENTER ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

Attention, all young ladies who have signed up to attend the Women in Trades Career Fair on Friday, May second! Remember to wear jeans or slacks and closed-toe shoes. Also, please bring a sack lunch. Report to the Career Center on Friday at eight a.m.

 

♦ Here's a reminder to seniors who applied to any four-year colleges or universities. No later than TODAY, you are obligated to notify schools that offered you admission, telling them whether you plan to attend that school or not.

 

♦ Students who want to know more about Portland Community College may sign up to participate in an orientation field trip to the Cascade campus.  The field trip will be on Friday, May sixteenth. The Career Center has the field trip consent form for this campus visitation.
