Good Morning Hudsons Bay!

Seniors! Remember to purchase your Senior Class Party  Ticket by May 15th!  All tickets will go up from $60 to $100 on May 15th!!! 

 

SENIORS:  If you ORDERED graduation announcements and DID NOT pick them up last week when Royal T was here, they are now in the business office available for you to pick up.

 

If you HAVE NOT ORDERED graduation announcements: The business office does have generic announcements for sale at $1.75 each while supplies last.

 

All appointed election packets are due Wednesday, May 14th at the end of the day to Mrs. Shults. Interviews will be the following day during 3rd period.

 

Attention Junior and Sophomore Girls!

If you are interested in being a coordinator for next year's Mr. Hudson's Bay pageant, application information for those positions will be available in your English class and in the main office. Essays are due Monday, May 19.

 

All students participating in LEAP...journals are due Today @ 4 pm

 

 

SPORTS:

 

Football players - important meeting Wednesday after school in the locker room.

 

Congratulations to the Bay Basketball Players who maintained good grades during the 3rd quarter.  The following players; Gabe Foster, Tra Ponder, Dwan James-Brannon and Mehdi Berrissoul, earned above a 3.0 GPA and received a free dinner for their hard work.  Good job guys!  

 

All Bay athletes need to be aware that the eligibility requirements are changing for next year.  You must keep your grades up in order to stay academically eligible.

 

Attention three sport athletes! Mrs. Cary wants to take your picture for the wall of fame. Please see her today, periods 1-3 or period 5 or after school in the Career Center. Be prepared to "Cheese!"      

 

 

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

KEY Club Members--don't forgot to come by Mrs. Hanson's room and sign up for this weeks community service activities

 

All NHS members who are interested in running for NHS office need to meet in room 103 immediately after school on Thursday, May 15. ALL members are eligible regardless of grade.

 

There will be a general NHS meeting of all of next year's NHS members on Thursday, May 22 to elect new officers and another meeting on June 5 to make plans for next year. Be sure to put both of these dates on your calendar. They are mandatary meetings and it is very important that you attend.

 

 

CAREER CENTER ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

An admissions representative from Western Culinary Institute of Portland will be in the Career Center on May 14th at 9:30 a.m.  If you would like to know more about this private technical college that trains people to work in the restaurant industry, sign up in the Career Center.

 

SENIORS: If you plan to attend any type of college in the fall, you should apply for the Grimm Enterprises scholarship.  It's worth two thousand dollars.  Only Hudson's Bay 12th graders are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The deadline to apply is May 21st. Applications are available in the Career Center.

 

Application forms for the free summer classes at the Clark County Skills Center will be available in the Career Center starting on Thursday, May 15th. Students in grades nine through twelve may register to take one of these three-week classes. Successful completion of a class will yield one-half miscellaneous credit. For a list of the classes that will be offered, check the bulletin board outside of the Career Center.
