Do you and your Friends want your own space in the yearbook?  Personal Ad space is available for Seniors or groups of friends.  You can pick up a form in the Business office or from Mr. Desjarlais in Room 317.  Forms are due back by Nov. 13, 2009.

 

Attention interested dancers - Bay Beatz will have a final dance audition next week.  We are looking for serious dancers willing to perform at assemblies, games and competitions.  We would especially like some guys to join!!!  Auditions will be today and Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, from 2:30 to 4:30 in the Aerobics’ Room.  Get cleared in the Business Office!  If you have any questions, contact Cutter in room 208.

 

CAREER CENTER:

 

Juniors and seniors: if you would like to learn more about Job Corps), stop by the Career Center and get a pass to attend an information meeting on Nov. 3rd in the Career Center. Job Corps is for people ages 16 to 24.  Job Corps enrollees may earn their high school diploma as well as train for a career.  All of this is free.  People in Job Corps get free medical coverage while they earn a small salary. When they complete their program, Job Corps participants also get a grant of about a $1,000 from the federal government.

 

Attention all Seniors, including Running Start: It is now time to give your input on which of the 25 applicants you feel would make the best Mr. Hudson's Bay contestants. Your social studies teacher will have input forms listing all applicants so you can voice your opinion.  Running Start seniors: check your folders in the Career Center and mark your input form and return to Mrs. Zweig by today, Nov. 2, to have your opinion counted.

 

CLUBS

 

Are you interested in helping your school and community?  Do you need community service hours?  Join the Key Club!  Come to the first meeting on Wednesday in Room 319 before school and learn what the Key Club is all about.

 

SPORTS

 

Winter Sports are starting soon! The business office is now accepting clearance paperwork and fees for all winter sports. Practices start on these dates:

Girls Bowling—today, Nov. 2

Girls Gymnastics---Monday, Nov. 9

Boys & Girls Basketball, Wrestling and Boys Swimming--          Monday, Nov. 16.

You must be fully cleared before you can begin practicing. Basketball will make cuts after the 3rd practice.

 

Attention Guys wanting to tryout for Basketball!  There will be a preseason meeting Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, in Room 504 at 2:10.  Everyone that intends on playing this year needs to be at the meeting.  Contact Coach Meyer if you have questions.

 

Attention all girl soccer players. There will be a short, mandatory meeting tomorrow at 2:10 in room 106. You will be required to turn in all uniforms and gear! If you do not turn in your uniform and gear during tomorrow's meeting, you will receive a fine of $200.
