Emergency School Closure Information If inclement weather or emergency situations make it necessary to delay or close schools, or alter bus routes, appropriate announcements are made by local tv and radio stations beginning at 6 a.m. If there is no announcement, the schools are open and on normal schedules. If schools are closed or dismissed early, after-school and evening activities also will be canceled. Community use of schools will be canceled only if schools are closed.
