Volunteers are needed to assist with a wide variety of high school athletic contests at all levels (varsity, JV and ‘C’ squads). Duties could include serving as scorekeeper or scoreclock operator for volleyball or basketball, being a volleyball line judge, working as a timer for swim meets, helping to run track meets or being part of the ‘chain crew’ for football games.
To volunteer please contact Andy Meyer, HBHS Athletic Coordinator, at 313-4412.
Pick your favorite sport and get involved!
In high school, teams practice every school day and frequently on Saturdays, for at least 2 hours.
Coaches may have slightly different expectations and practice requirements (given to all team members).
Athletes must be in attendance at least 3 periods (half-day) to participate after school.
During winter season, teams will have practices during Thanksgiving break, and both practices and competitions during Winter Vacation. For spring sports, there will also be some practices and possibly one game during Spring Break.
