Fall Sport Practice Schedule
ATHLETIC SEASON INFORMATION
SPORTS BY SEASON 2010-11
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: Remember that it will be
your spring semester grades that will determine
academic eligibility for the fall season. Athletes must have
passed 5 classes (6 for 9th graders coming in from a 7 period
middle school schedule) in order to be eiligible.
2010-11 FALL SEASON DATES:
Football starts practice on Wednesday Aug. 18
All other fall sports – volleyball, girls
soccer, cross country, boys golf, boys tennis,
girls swimming - start on Monday Aug. 23.
Athletes must have turned in all paperwork
to the business office and paid fees before they
will be allowed to participate in practice.
Do not turn in forms or fees to coaches!
PRACTICE TIMES:
Will be posted on the Business Office outside
window over the bike rack and on the Sports
Calendar on the HB website.
SUMMER WORKOUTS:
The weight room and gym will be open for
workouts multiple days and times during the
summer. Check the HB webpage sports calendar
or contact your coach for information
ATTENTION SPORTS FANS and PARENTS OF ATHLETES:
SPORTS HELPERS NEEDED!
Do you love watching high school sports, and cheering on the HB Eagles? Do you wish you could be close to the action and really feel a part of the game? Well, here’s your chance!
Volunteers are needed to assist with a wide variety of high school athletic contests at all levels (varsity, JV and ‘C’ squads). Duties could include serving as scorekeeper or scoreclock operator for volleyball or basketball, being a volleyball line judge, working as a timer for swim meets, helping to run track meets or being part of the ‘chain crew’ for football games.

Current Athletic Requirements
Have a current (within the past 2 years) physical exam.
Complete the athletic clearance packet, turning in all forms to the Business Office.
Agree to abide by all District training rules and WIAA codes of conduct.
Purchase an A.S.B. card – one time fee of $30.
Pay the activity fee - $50 per sport.
Meet the academic WIAA minimum = passing 5 of 6 classes in high school; passing 6 of 7 classes if coming from a middle school on a 7 period day.
Practices
In high school, teams practice every school day and frequently on Saturdays, for at least 2 hours.
Coaches may have slightly different expectations and practice requirements (given to all team members).
Athletes must be in attendance at least 3 periods to participate after school.
During winter season, teams will have practices during Thanksgiving break, and both practices and competitions during Winter Vacation. For spring sports, there will also be some practices and possibly one game during Spring Break.
