The LOCAL Vancouver Sunrise Rotary is offering six scholarships up to *$2,000 each and if you’re reading this, you are probably eligible!

Eligibility:

  • Graduating VPS or EPS senior
  • Plan on attending an Oregon or Washington college, university or vocational school

The application and its requirements can be found here.  An essay of approximately 300 words is required that describes your life experiences and educational goals as related to the Rotary Motto “Service Above Self”. In the essay, the scholarship committee would like to read about your life experiences and/or volunteer service that you have done and the effect that it has on your life and the lives of others.  It is the Rotary’s belief that service means giving back to the community beyond what you do in school.  No service is too small to write about as it’s not the number of hours you put in but the spirit of the assistance that counts!  It is the goal of the scholarship committee to give scholarships to people who believe in helping others as a way of life.

Any questions can be directed to Jane Van Dyke, Scholarship Committee Chair at jvdpotter@gmail.com.  Apply now!

*The number of scholarships and dollar amounts are approximate and subject to change based on fund availability at the time of award.

Deadline: April 22, 2022 by 5:00 PM
