April is National Poetry Month

Students and staff are asked to contribute to the Community “Poet Trees” in the Commons and Library.  Each leaf contains a haiku, limerick, acrostic poem, sonnet, song lyric, concrete poem, etc.  Some are authoring original works and others are using work that speaks to them but authored by another.  If parents would like to contribute they can send information to hbaylib@vansd.org and we will transcribe it on to a leaf for you.  Poetry “is a worthy expression of emotion, or deep feelings, and aesthetics, or a sense of what is beautiful about the world.”  Help our trees fill out with what speaks to you!
