What is Running Start?

The Running Start program allows high school juniors and seniors to earn college credit while completing their high school education–saving students money while advancing their education.  Students may take just one class per quarter, or take all of their courses on the Clark College campus, earning both high school and college credit for all completed courses.  You and your counselor will put together a plan for each school year that will help you meet credits for a Bay diploma while also taking Clark classes and earning college credit.

What do I do first?

Due to the recent school closures, Hudson’s Bay counselors are conducting the usual Running Start Information Meeting via a website and a Google Quiz.  Please review all of the information on this website (cotained in the slide show on the page) to learn expectations, requirements, and the steps you will need to follow to get started with Running Start.  You will be prompted to complete a Google Quiz to show your understanding of what is required of Running Start students.  You will also need to download the Running Start Steps for Enrollment and the Enrollment Verification Form (EVF).These steps will start you on the process of applying to Clark College.

Due Dates

New students may register for Clark College classes starting on June 1, 2020. Bay students must be registered to attend Clark College and have their classess cleared by their counselor no later than June 5, 2020.
