Several VPS schools appear on U.S. News and World Report‘s 2021 list of leading high schools in Washington state and the nation:
- Vancouver School of Arts and Academics: 13th in Washington rankings and 840th in national rankings
- Vancouver iTech Preparatory: 56th in Washington rankings and 3,416th in national rankings
- Columbia River High School: 70th in Washington rankings and 3,945th in national rankings
- Vancouver Flex Academy (formerly Lewis and Clark High School): 195th in Washington rankings and 11,382nd in national rankings
- Hudson’s Bay High School: 226th in Washington rankings and 13,081st in national rankings
In addition, Fort Vancouver High School Center for International Studies and Vancouver Virtual Learning Academy are among the top 300 Washington high schools.
Not all VPS high schools were evaluated for ranking.
Rankings are determined by multiple factors including scores on Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams, performance on math and reading state tests and graduation rates.
