Students must be enrolled in a qualifying CTE course or have taken a related CTE course to earn credit for work experience.  For example, if you are working at a retail store and have taken a marketing class, you can earn .5 credit for every 180 hours worked (up to 2 credits a year).

Labor & Industries has restrictions  on work hours and job duties for students under 18 years old.  A Parent School Authorization form is required. Contact your school’s Career Specialist for more information.
