It’s October 1st!! Time to complete your financial aid application! If you intend on continuing your education after high school, you must complete your financial aid application (FAFSA or WASFA) your Senior year and EVERY year thereafter that you want to be considered for student loans, federal and state grants, work-study and many scholarships. Even if you do not qualify for financial aid, many scholarships require applicants to fill out the FAFSA or WASFA, so get it done!
Students should only complete ONE financial aid application, the FAFSA OR WASFA. If you are unsure which is the right application for you, complete this short questionnaire. At a glance:
- FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Complete this form if you are a United States citizen and have a social security number (even if your parent does not have a social security number)
OR
- WASFA (WA Application for State Financial Aid)
- Complete this form if you are not a United States citizen and do not have a social security number
