Hello Eagles,
We are off and running in 2018 —students and staff at Bay continue to stay busy. Second semester is under way (official start date was January 30th). Students have updated schedules and a fresh start in all of their classes. Our winter athletes continue to stay busy as they roll into district play and fight for spots in the play-offs and state competitions.
As a staff, we continue to reflect on how we are influencing student learning. We continue to use our time in after school meetings and early releases to work together to maximize the supports we provide students. Staff and administration participate in weekly learning walks to go in to observe the great teaching happening and to get ideas for future use. Bay has implemented many new supports for our students and we will use the data collected from first semester to reflect on the impact these supports have had on students’ academic success.
As a staff we also continue to teach and reinforce consistent, school-wide expectations to support students and staff. Staff continue to have conversations with students about the “Bay Way” and recognize students for positively modeling our traits of focus.
