When a Hudson’s Bay High School student’s heart stopped during wrestling practice, the staff sprang into action.
This scene could have ended in tragedy, but thanks to the efforts of the well-trained coaching staff, the student is alive today.
“This is a great example of how school staff trained in CPR, the availability of an onsite AED and quickly accessing 911 can save a student’s life,” said Pete Adams, firefighter/paramedic and public information officer for Vancouver Fire Department, in a press release. “Without question, the school staff put their training into action, and it led to the best possible outcome.”
